The Maxwell Bears basketball team scored 68 points and limited the host Springer Red Devils to 55 in the Bears league triumph on Thursday.
The Bears now have a 19-3 record. They play next when they host Wagon Mound for a A District 5 game on Monday, February 10. Maxwell will confront a Trojans team coming off a 69-61 league loss to Springer (Springer, NM). The Trojans record now stands at 4-12.
With the loss, Springer falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM) to confront the Trojans in a A District 5 game on Saturday, February 8. The Trojans go into the game with a record of 4-11. Wagon Mound lost 67-53 in their recent league game against Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM)
