In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Southland Academy Raiders basketball team scored a close 47-43 triumph over the Terrell Academy Eagles.

The Raiders (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Georgia Christian (Valdosta, GA). The Generals go into the GIAA AA Region 3 contest with a 10-7 record. In their last contest, Georgia Christian nipped Southland Academy (Americus, GA), 43-42, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Valwood Valiants (Valdosta, GA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Terrell Academy will attempt to better on its 9-13 season record. The Valiants come into the challenge with a 12-10 record after their 64-53 non-league win over Echols County (Statenville, GA).
