The Spalding Jaguars basketball squad (Griffin, GA), was outscored 65-57 in Thursday's league battle with the host Troup County Tigers (LaGrange, GA)

With the victory, Troup County advances its record to 14-7 on the year. The Tigers host Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA) to meet the Tigers in a AAA Region 2 battle on Friday, February 7. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 14-8. Fayette County won 54-38 in their recent league battle against Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA)

The Jaguars now own a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Upson-Lee for a AAA Region 2 battle on Friday, February 7. Spalding will meet a Knights squad coming off a 79-39 non-league win over Twiggs County (Jeffersonville, GA). The Knights record now stands at 17-5.
