The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA) and the visiting Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA), observed Bethel's basketball team knock off Gloucester by a score of 45-34.

The Bruins (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Menchville (Newport News, VA). The Monarchs come into the Peninsula challenge with a 16-1 record. In their last challenge, Menchville prevailed over Woodside (Newport News, VA), 82-22, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Dukes encounter the Hampton Crabbers (Hampton, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Friday, February 7. Gloucester will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Crabbers come into the challenge with a 16-2 record after their 65-31 league win over Heritage (Newport News, VA).
