Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), 48-37 in a league match.
With the victory, Carlisle upgrades its record to 12-5 on the year. The Chiefs travel to New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA) to face the Gryphons in a VISAA Blue Ridge match on Monday, February 10. The Gryphons enter the match with a record of 10-8. New Covenant lost 26-23 in their recent non-league match against Grace Christian (Staunton, VA)
The Eagles now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Roanoke Catholic for a VISAA Blue Ridge match on Monday, February 10.
