The Messmer Bishops (Milwaukee, WI) basketball edged the visiting Catholic Central Hilltoppers (Burlington, WI), 41-39 in Thursday's league bout.

The Bishops now possess a 13-7 record. They play next when they host Shoreland Lutheran for a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. Messmer will play a Pacers team coming off a 86-56 non-league loss to Racine Case (Racine, WI). The Pacers record now stands at 4-16.

With the loss, Catholic Central falls to 10-10 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Living Word Lutheran (Jackson, WI) to play the Timberwolves in a Midwest Classic bout on Saturday, February 8. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Living Word Lutheran won 59-24 in their recent league bout against Brookfield Academy (Brookfield, WI)
