In Thursday's league contest, the host Foxcroft basketball team scored a close 34-28 win over the Fredericksburg Academy Falcons.

The (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Margaret's (Tappahannock, VA). The Scotties come into the non-league contest with a 15-8 record. In their last contest, St. Margaret's was tipped by Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA), 69-52, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Highland Hawks (Warrenton, VA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 10. Fredericksburg Academy will attempt to better on its 3-7 season record. The Hawks come into the contest with a 16-4 record after their 49-14 league win over Tandem Friends (Charlottesville, VA).
