With the victory, Wayne County advances its record to 17-7 on the year. The War Eagles travel to Laurel (Laurel, MS) to face the Golden Tornadoes in a non-league match on Friday, February 7. The Golden Tornadoes enter the match with a record of 28-1. Laurel won 70-18 in their recent non-league match against East Central (Moss Point, MS)

The Gators now own a 8-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Central for a 5A Region 4 match on Friday, February 7. Gautier will face a Hornets squad coming off a 70-18 non-league loss to Laurel (Laurel, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 8-9.
