The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS) and the visiting Holly Springs Hawks (Holly Springs, MS), observed Independence's basketball team overcome Holly Springs by a margin of 46-35.
The Wildcats (20-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Coahoma County (Clarksdale, MS). The Red Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 23-5 record. In their last challenge, Coahoma County defeated North Panola (Sardis, MS), 37-24, in a non-league challenge.
