California High School Basketball - King's Academy thwarts Mercy

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the King's Academy Knights (Sunnyvale, CA) and the host Mercy Bears (Burlingame, CA), observed King's Academy's basketball team knock off Mercy by a score of 40-26.
The Knights (16-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Washington (Fremont, CA). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 17-6 record. In their last challenge, Washington prevailed over American (Fremont, CA), 59-51, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bears encounter the Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons (Hillsborough, CA) in a West Bay - Skyline challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Mercy will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record.
