Pennsylvania High School Basketball - South Allegheny toppled by Ligonier Valley

Ligonier Valley Rams (Ligonier, PA) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA), 59-51 in a league match.

With the victory, Ligonier Valley advances its record to 7-14 on the year. The Rams travel to Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA) to face the Antelopes in a WPIAL 3A 2 match on Friday, February 7. The Antelopes enter the match with a record of 10-6. Avonworth won 42-32 in their recent non-league match against Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA)

The Gladiators now own a 3-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Steel Valley for a WPIAL 3A 2 match on Friday, February 7. South Allegheny will face a Ironmen squad coming off a 59-17 league loss to Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, PA). The Ironmen record now stands at 1-17.
