The Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) basketball crushed the visiting Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM), 51-29 in Thursday's league bout.

The Elks/Elkettes now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they host Espanola Valley for a 4A District 2 bout on Saturday, February 8. Pojoaque Valley will play a Sundevils team coming off a 52-25 league win over Taos (Taos, NM). The Sundevils record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, Los Alamos falls to 3-18 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM) to play the Pintos in a 4A District 2 bout on Saturday, February 8. The Pintos go into the bout with a record of 8-14. Moriarty lost 68-54 in their recent non-league bout against Robertson (Las Vegas, NM)
