The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) and the visiting Reserve Mountaineers (Reserve, NM), observed Magdalena's basketball team overwhelm Reserve by a score of 64-31.
The Steers (17-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Animas (Animas, NM). The Panthers come into the A District 2 challenge with a 7-11 record. In their last challenge, Animas was routed by Cliff (Cliff, NM), 56-26, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Mountaineers battle the Quemado Eagles (Quemado, NM) in a A District 2 challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Reserve will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 17-5 record after their 37-29 league win over Cliff (Cliff, NM).
