Nevada High School Basketball - Pyramid Lake triumphant over Smith Valley

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV) and the host Smith Valley Bulldogs (Smith, NV), observed Pyramid Lake's basketball team overwhelm Smith Valley by a score of 73-25.

The Lakers (21-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Virginia City (Virginia City, NV). The Muckers come into the 1A West challenge with a 15-9 record. In their last challenge, Virginia City was routed by Smith Valley (Smith, NV), 58-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Coleville Wolves (Coleville, CA) in a 1A West challenge, on Saturday, February 8. Smith Valley will attempt to improve on its 14-7 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 9-11 record after their 60-16 league win over Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV).
