North Carolina High School Basketball - Smithfield-Selma overwhelmed by South Johnston

In Thursday's league test, the South Johnston Trojans (Four Oaks, NC) basketball squad trounced the visiting Smithfield-Selma Spartans (Smithfield, NC), by a final score of 45-16.
Next, the Trojans clash with the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) in a 3A Quad County test, on Friday, February 7. South Johnston will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Warriors come into the test with a 8-11 record after their 49-41 league win over West Johnston (Benson, NC).
The Spartans (1-16) will now prepare for their test against Southern Wayne (Dudley, NC). The Saints come into the 3A Quad County test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Southern Wayne was overwhelmed by East Wake (Wendell, NC), 83-63, in a league test.
