The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Freeman Mavericks (Richmond, VA) and the visiting Clover Hill Cavaliers (Midlothian, VA), observed Freeman's basketball team overcome Clover Hill by a margin of 27-17.

The Mavericks (7-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Glen Allen (Glen Allen, VA). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 13-2 record. In their last challenge, Glen Allen defeated Matoaca (Chesterfield, VA), 48-26, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cavaliers battle the Huguenot Falcons (Richmond, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 10. Clover Hill will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record.
