The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC) and the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), observed North Henderson's basketball team overcome Smoky Mountain by a score of 73-58.

The Knights (13-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Pisgah (Canton, NC). The Bears come into the challenge with a 18-3 record. In their last challenge, Pisgah defeated East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC), 60-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Tuscola Mountaineers (Waynesville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 7. Smoky Mountain will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a 1-15 record after their 53-15 non-league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).
