Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Palma Chieftains (Salinas, CA) and the visiting Pajaro Valley Grizzlies (Watsonville, CA), saw Palma's soccer squad hold off Pajaro Valley by a count of 1-0.

The Chieftains (13-2) will now prepare for their battle against Stevenson (Pebble Beach, CA). The Pirates enter the PCAL - Mission battle with a 5-10 record. In their last battle, Stevenson was edged by King City (King City, CA), 4-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Watsonville Wildcatz (Watsonville, CA) in a PCAL - Mission battle, on Wednesday, February 12. Pajaro Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Wildcatz enter the battle with a 4-7 record after their 3-0 league win over Rancho San Juan (Salinas, CA).
