The Eastside Spartans (Coeburn, VA) basketball crushed the host Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA), 81-49 in Friday's league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Castlewood for a Cumberland test on Saturday, February 7. Eastside will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 73-51 league loss to Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-9.
The Blue Devils (5-11) will now prepare for their test against Eastside (Coeburn, VA). The Spartans come into the Cumberland test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Eastside bounced J.I. Burton (Norton, VA), 67-36, in a league test.
