Depew Hornets (Depew, OK) backers were thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Drumright Tornadoes (Drumright, OK), 47-43 in a league game.
The Hornets now have a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Davenport for a Central 7 game on Tuesday, February 10. Depew will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 71-35 league win over Oilton (Oilton, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 15-3.
The Tornadoes (10-9) will now prepare for their outing against Wellston (Wellston, OK). The Tigers enter the non-league outing with a 17-7 record. In their last outing, Wellston got by Pawnee (Pawnee, OK), 52-36, in a non-league outing.
