The Pineville Mountain Lions basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Middlesboro Yellowjackets to 37 in the Mountain Lions league triumph on Monday.

The Mountain Lions now sport a 12-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lynn Camp for a District 51 contest on Wednesday, February 9. Pineville will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 49-46 non-league win over White Academy (Harrogate, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-6.

The Yellowjackets (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Corbin (Corbin, KY). The Redhounds enter the non-league contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, Corbin ran past Jackson County (McKee, KY), 74-58, in a non-league contest.
