Branford Hornets (Branford, CT) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lyman Hall Trojans (Wallingford, CT), 46-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Branford upgrades its record to 6-11 on the season. The Hornets travel to Litchfield (Litchfield, CT) to play the Cowboys in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 9. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 1-12. Litchfield lost 45-22 in their recent league bout against Shepaug Valley (Washington, CT)

Next up, the Trojans play the East Haven Yellowjackets (East Haven, CT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, February 9. Lyman Hall will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 9-7 record after their 42-32 non-league loss to Sheehan (Wallingford, CT).
