In Monday's league outing, the Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT) basketball squad edged the visiting Montville Indians (Oakdale, CT), by a count of 29-26.
The Wolverines (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Bulldogs go into the non-league outing with a 9-8 record. In their last outing, Lyman Memorial held off Wheeler (North Stonington, CT), 50-45, in a league outing.
The Indians now hold a 9-9 record. They play next when they host St. Bernard for a non-league outing on Tuesday, February 8. Montville will clash with a Saints squad coming off a 40-22 league win over Putnam (Putnam, CT). The Saints record now stands at 8-8.
