The Alcoa Tornadoes basketball team scored 98 points and held the visiting Cumberland Gap Panthers to 41 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maryville for a non-league contest on Friday, February 10. Alcoa will battle a Red Rebels team coming off a 57-50 league win over Hardin Valley Academy (Knoxville, TN). The Red Rebels record now stands at 15-10.
The Panthers (0-17) will now prepare for their contest against Grainger (Rutledge, TN). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, Grainger triumphed over Cherokee (Rogersville, TN), 61-47, in a league contest.
