Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Powell Panthers (Powell, TN), 72-71 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Anderson County upgrades its record to 10-13 on the season. The Mavericks travel to Knoxville Central (Knoxville, TN) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 9. The Bobcats go into the bout with a record of 12-14. Knoxville Central won 67-62 in their recent non-league bout against Powell (Powell, TN)
Next up, the Panthers play the South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. Powell will attempt to upgrade on its 6-18 season record. The Cherokees go into the bout with a 11-13 record after their 61-60 non-league loss to Jefferson County (Dandridge, TN).
