Connecticut High School Basketball - Woodland Regional knocked off by Ansonia

The Ansonia Chargers basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Woodland Regional Hawks to 49 in the Chargers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Chargers now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seymour for a Naugatuck Valley - Copper contest on Friday, February 10. Ansonia will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 80-48 league win over Derby (Derby, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 12-5.
The Hawks (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Oxford (Oxford, CT). The Wolverines enter the Naugatuck Valley - Copper contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Oxford was defeated by Plainville (Plainville, CT), 66-55, in a non-league contest.
