The Scappoose Indians (Scappoose, OR) basketball nipped the visiting Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR), 50-48 in Tuesday's league test.
The Indians (9-12) will now prepare for their test against St. Helens (St. Helens, OR). The Lions go into the 4A Cowapa test with a 3-18 record. In their last test, St. Helens was tipped by Seaside (Seaside, OR), 73-40, in a league test.
The Fishermen now own a 13-8 record. They play next when they host Tillamook for a 4A Cowapa test on Friday, February 10. Astoria will encounter a Cheesemakers squad coming off a 62-49 league loss to Scappoose (Scappoose, OR). The Cheesemakers record now stands at 4-13.
