New Mexico High School Basketball - Kirtland Central tops Aztec

February 7, 2023: Aztec, NM 87410

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Kirtland Central Broncos (Kirtland, NM) and the host Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM), saw Kirtland Central's basketball squad knock off Aztec by a tally of 75-58.

With the victory, Kirtland Central improves its record to 16-7 on the season. The Broncos travel to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM) to encounter the Bobcats in a 4A District 1 test on Friday, February 10. The Bobcats go into the test with a record of 11-12. Bloomfield lost 48-43 in their recent league test against Miyamura (Gallup, NM)

The Tigers now own a 5-18 record. They play next when they host Gallup for a 4A District 1 test on Friday, February 10. Aztec will encounter a Bengals squad coming off a 99-54 league win over Shiprock (Shiprock, NM). The Bengals record now stands at 16-7.
