Battle Spartans (Columbia, MO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Fort Zumwalt South Bulldogs (St. Peters, MO), 52-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Battle upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Spartans host Rock Bridge (Columbia, MO) to clash with the Bruins in a Central Missouri bout on Thursday, February 9. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 15-5. Rock Bridge lost 86-68 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Kansas City, MO)

Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Washington Bluejays (Washington, MO) in a Gateway - Central bout, on Friday, February 10. Fort Zumwalt South will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record. The Bluejays go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 65-55 league win over Fort Zumwalt East (St. Peters, MO).
