North Carolina High School Basketball - Bertie overwhelms Perquimans

February 7, 2023: Hertford, NC 27944

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Bertie Falcons (Windsor, NC) and the host Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC), saw Bertie's basketball squad wallop Perquimans by a tally of 84-37.

With the victory, Bertie improves its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Gates County (Gatesville, NC) to confront the Red Barons in a 1A Conference 2 challenge on Wednesday, February 8. The Red Barons come into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Gates County won 65-44 in their recent league challenge against North East Carolina Prep (Tarboro, NC)

Next up, the Pirates confront the Riverside-Martin Knights (Williamston, NC) in a 1A Conference 2 challenge, on Friday, February 10. Perquimans will attempt to improve on its 5-16 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 57-33 league loss to Washington County (Plymouth, NC).
