In Tuesday's league outing, the Blaine Bengals (Blaine, MN) basketball squad nipped the visiting Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN), by a margin of 76-73.
The Bengals (13-5) will now prepare for their outing against Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN). The Crimson go into the non-league outing with a 13-5 record. In their last outing, Maple Grove was tipped by Centennial (Circle Pines, MN), 37-36, in a non-league outing.
The Cardinals now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Anoka for a AAAA Section 7 match on Thursday, February 9. Coon Rapids will meet a Tornadoes team coming off a 84-79 league loss to Andover (Andover, MN). The Tornadoes record now stands at 8-10.
