Texas High School Basketball - Highland Park nudges Boys Ranch

February 7, 2023: Boys Ranch, TX 79010

Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Boys Ranch Roughriders (Boys Ranch, TX), 46-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Highland Park upgrades its record to 12-16 on the season. The Hornets host Bovina (Bovina, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 2A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, February 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 14-14. Bovina lost 56-41 in their recent league bout against Panhandle (Panhandle, TX)

Next up, the Roughriders clash with the Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) in a 2A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, February 10. Boys Ranch will attempt to upgrade on its 10-14 season record. The Longhorns go into the bout with a 15-11 record after their 62-47 league loss to Farwell (Farwell, TX).
