Bushland Falcons (Bushland, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Canadian Wildcats (Canadian, TX), 35-32 in a league battle.

The Falcons now possess a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Spearman for a 3A Region I District 1 battle on Friday, February 10. Bushland will confront a Lynx team coming off a 76-37 league win over Tulia (Tulia, TX). The Lynx record now stands at 16-9.

The Wildcats (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against River Road (Amarillo, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 1 battle with a 11-16 record. In their last battle, River Road edged Dalhart (Dalhart, TX), 36-35, in a league battle.
