Vandegrift Vipers (Austin, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cedar Ridge Raiders (Round Rock, TX), 48-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Vandegrift upgrades its record to 21-11 on the campaign. The Vipers travel to Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX) to play the Rangers in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, February 10. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 15-17. Vista Ridge won 58-42 in their recent league bout against Manor (Manor, TX)

Next up, the Raiders play the Round Rock Dragons (Round Rock, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, February 10. Cedar Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 13-17 season record. The Dragons come into the bout with a 22-9 record after their 57-56 league win over McNeil (Austin, TX).
