Howe Lions (Howe, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Central Tigers (Sallisaw, OK), 55-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Howe upgrades its record to 6-14 on the season. The Lions host Wilburton (Wilburton, OK) to play the Diggers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Diggers go into the bout with a record of 0-8. Wilburton lost 73-46 in their recent league bout against Pocola (Pocola, OK)

Next up, the Tigers play the Oktaha Tigers (Oktaha, OK) in a Big Eight bout, on Friday, February 10. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
