Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA), 73-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Charles City upgrades its record to 15-7 on the season. The Comets host Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Friday, February 10. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 18-2. Aplington-Parkersburg lost 59-50 in their recent non-league bout against Grand View Christian (Des Moines, IA)

Next up, the Indians play the Kee Kee Hawks (Lansing, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 10. Waukon will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Kee Hawks go into the bout with a 6-14 record after their 53-42 league loss to Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA).
