Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rochelle Hornets (Rochelle, TX), 56-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Cherokee upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Indians travel to Brookesmith (Brookesmith, TX) to clash with the Mustangs in a 1A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, February 10. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 11-12. Brookesmith won 70-24 in their recent league bout against Lohn (Lohn, TX)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Richland Springs Coyotes (Richland Springs, TX) in a 1A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, February 10. Rochelle will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record.
