Nantucket Whalers (Nantucket, MA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Dolphins (South Yarmouth, MA), 49-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Nantucket upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Whalers travel to Wareham (Wareham, MA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 8. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Wareham won 81-53 in their recent league bout against Case (Swansea, MA)

Next up, the Dolphins clash with the Barnstable Red Hawks (Hyannis, MA) in a Cape & Islands - Atlantic bout, on Friday, February 10. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Red Hawks go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 46-41 league win over Falmouth (Falmouth, MA).
