In their next game, the Trojans face the Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, February 9. Derry will attempt to move on its 11-9 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 4-15 record after their 55-38 league win over Marion Center (Marion Center, PA).

With the defeat, Shady Side Academy moves to 15-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA) to face the Lancers in a WPIAL 3A 3 game on Friday, February 10. The Lancers enter the game with a record of 13-7. Deer Lakes won 77-51 in their recent league game against Valley (New Kensington, PA)
