Lutheran Lions (Parker, CO) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO), 63-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Lutheran upgrades its record to 13-7 on the season. The Lions host Lewis-Palmer (Monument, CO) to play the Rangers in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak bout on Thursday, February 9. The Rangers go into the bout with a record of 15-6. Lewis-Palmer won 66-44 in their recent league bout against Palmer Ridge (Monument, CO)

Next up, the Thunder play the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 5A/4A Pikes Peak match, on Thursday, February 9. Discovery Canyon will attempt to better on its 10-10 season record. The Red-Tailed Hawks enter the match with a 7-14 record after their 89-53 league loss to Air Academy (US Air Force Academy, CO).
