In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Fort Chiswell Pioneers (Max Meadows, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs (Elliston, VA), by a margin of 70-43.

The Pioneers (8-14) will now prepare for their outing against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Maroons go into the Mountain Empire outing with a 18-2 record. In their last outing, George Wythe smashed William Byrd (Vinton, VA), 57-40, in a non-league outing.

The Mustangs now own a 1-19 record. They play next when they host Bath County for a Pioneer outing on Wednesday, February 8. Eastern Montgomery will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 68-42 league loss to Parry McCluer (Buena Vista, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 8-13.
