The Edwards-Knox Cougars (Russell, NY) basketball nipped the host Morristown Central Rockets (Morristown, NY), 77-70 in Tuesday's league test.

The Cougars (6-12) will now prepare for their test against Hermon-DeKalb Central (DeKalb Junction, NY). The Demons go into the Section 10 West test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Hermon-DeKalb Central was tipped by Heuvelton Central (Heuvelton, NY), 86-26, in a league test.

The Rockets now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to Lisbon Central for a Section 10 West test on Friday, February 10. Morristown Central will encounter a Golden Knights squad coming off a 74-35 league win over Norwood-Norfolk (Norwood, NY). The Golden Knights record now stands at 8-9.
