The Sterling Golden Warriors basketball team scored 69 points and restricted the host Geneseo Maple Leafs to 29 in the Golden Warriors league victory on Tuesday.
The Golden Warriors now sport a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Moline for a Western Big 6 contest on Friday, February 10. Sterling will battle a Maroons team coming off a 71-54 league win over East Moline United (East Moline, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 25-3.
The Maple Leafs (0-24) will now prepare for their contest against Quincy (Quincy, IL). The Blue Devils come into the Western Big 6 contest with a 21-4 record. In their last contest, Quincy triumphed over Rock Island (Rock Island, IL), 60-55, in a league contest.
