The Gladewater Bears (Gladewater, TX) basketball crushed the host Hughes Springs Mustangs (Hughes Springs, TX), 49-23 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bears (5-11) will now prepare for their test against New Diana (Diana, TX). The Eagles go into the 3A Region II District 15 test with a 20-6 record. In their last test, New Diana walloped Sabine (Gladewater, TX), 46-44, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to White Oak for a 3A Region II District 15 test on Friday, February 10. Hughes Springs will encounter a Roughnecks squad coming off a 49-45 league win over Daingerfield (Daingerfield, TX). The Roughnecks record now stands at 19-11.
