Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA), 81-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Menchville upgrades its record to 20-0 on the season. The Monarchs host Bethel (Hampton, VA) to play the Bruins in a Peninsula bout on Friday, February 10. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 9-11. Bethel lost 62-31 in their recent league bout against Woodside (Newport News, VA)

Next up, the Dukes play the Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Friday, February 10. Gloucester will attempt to upgrade on its 1-19 season record. The Raiders go into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 70-47 league loss to Heritage (Newport News, VA).
