Groveton Indians (Groveton, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Latexo Tigers (Latexo, TX), 65-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Groveton upgrades its record to 16-11 on the season. The Indians travel to Grapeland (Grapeland, TX) to play the Sandies in a 2A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, February 10. The Sandies go into the bout with a record of 23-9. Grapeland won 70-31 in their recent league bout against Leon (Jewett, TX)

Next up, the Tigers play the Lovelady Lions (Lovelady, TX) in a 2A Region III District 20 bout, on Friday, February 10. Latexo will attempt to upgrade on its 10-19 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 10-11 record after their 57-37 league loss to Centerville (Centerville, TX).
