Jesup J-Hawks (Jesup, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host South Hardin Tigers (Eldora, IA), 72-69 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Jesup upgrades its record to 13-7 on the campaign.

Next up, the Tigers play the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 9. South Hardin will attempt to upgrade on its 10-11 season record. The Wolverines come into the bout with a 9-13 record after their 84-64 non-league loss to Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA).
