The South Central Timberwolves basketball team scored 69 points and held the host Kiowa County Mavericks to 59 in the Timberwolves non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Timberwolves now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Satanta for a Southern Plains-Iroquois contest on Friday, February 10. South Central will battle a Indians team coming off a 60-30 non-league win over Moscow (Moscow, KS). The Indians record now stands at 8-8.

The Mavericks (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Hodgeman County (Jetmore, KS). The Longhorns enter the Southern Plains-Iroquois contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Hodgeman County was defeated by Bucklin (Bucklin, KS), 59-51, in a league contest.
