The Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) basketball felled the visiting Lakeview Sailors (Stoneboro, PA), 49-41 in Tuesday's league test.

The Mustangs (15-4) will now prepare for their test against George Junior Republic (Grove City, PA). The go into the District 10 Region 2 test with a 2-11 record. In their last test, George Junior Republic was beaten by West Middlesex (West Middlesex, PA), 73-35, in a league test.

The Sailors now own a 9-10 record. They play next when they travel to Reynolds for a District 10 Region 2 test on Friday, February 10. Lakeview will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 48-45 league win over Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA). The Raiders record now stands at 5-13.
