The Lakewood Leopards basketball team (Roseboro, NC), was overwhelmed 76-51 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC)

The Cougars now possess a 22-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union for a 1A Conference 10 battle on Friday, February 10. Neuse Charter will battle a Spartans team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 0-20.

The Leopards (7-14) will now prepare for their battle against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Eagles come into the 1A Conference 10 battle with a 11-9 record. In their last battle, Rosewood trounced North Duplin (Calypso, NC), 59-32, in a league battle.
